Rihanna raged after Chris Brown received booty call text message from manager Tina Davis

The mystery woman who texted R&B singer Chris Brown the night police say he beat Rihanna has been revealed.
And she's twice his age.
Brown's manager Tina Davis, 40, left a lengthy text message on the 19-year-old's phone which set Rihanna off, TMZ.com reports.
Brown and Davis are rumored to have had a relationship when the "Run It" singer was 16 - allegations that both have denied.
A source tells The Daily News that the text message was about hooking up later at the London hotel.
A detective's affidavit notes that the message came "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with."
An industry source previously described the text to The News as a "booty call."
"Rihanna saw it and she got upset," the insider said. "They started to argue. She got out of the car. He wanted her to get back in, so he grabbed her. She pulled away. That's when she's told people he hit her."
Davis could not be reached for comment.
Brown was charged on March 5 with battering his 21-year-old girlfriend just before the Grammy Awards.
He is due to be arraigned on April 6.

CHRIS BROWN UPDATE:
LOS ANGELES — Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies stemming from what a police detective describes as a brutal argument between the singer and his girlfriend, Rihanna, provoked by her discovery of a text message from another woman.
Brown is expected to be arraigned Thursday afternoon on charges of assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats. The 19-year-old R&B singer remains free on $50,000 bail.
The felony complaint handed down in court Thursday morning identifies Brown's alleged victim only as "Robyn F." Rihanna's real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
If convicted, the possible sentence ranges anywhere from probation to four years and eight months in state prison, said district attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.
According to a detective's affidavit, Brown and Rihanna got into a fight early Feb. 8 after the "Umbrella" singer checked her boyfriend's cell phone and found a text message from another woman.
Brown pulled his car over and tried to push Rihanna out, but she was still wearing her seatbelt, Los Angeles police Detective De Shon Andrews wrote. He said Brown pushed Rihanna's head against the window, punched her with his right hand, and then continued driving while hitting her, the affidavit states. He also bit his girlfriend on the ear, the affidavit states.
The affidavit was filed as part of a search warrant request for the phone records of Brown, Rihanna and her assistant.
Brown allegedly threatened to kill Rihanna after she pretended to leave a phone message with her assistant, telling her to have the police waiting at her house.

Andrews described Brown's blows as causing Rihanna's mouth to fill with blood. He also writes that Brown tried to choke Rihanna after she took the keys to his car away. Andrews wrote that Rihanna nearly lost consciousness but also tried to fight back while in the car, at one point trying to gouge at Brown's eyes.
Brown was arrested hours later and booked him on suspicion of making criminal threats. Police said at the time a woman identified Brown as her attacker during an early morning dispute in an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood.
A phone message left for Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, was not immediately returned Thursday. Brown's publicist Tony Knight said any statement would likely come from Geragos after today's hearing.
Rihanna's spokesperson had no comment on the charges filed against Brown.
Brown issued a statement a week after the incident saying that he was "sorry and saddened" about the incident. Rihanna also later issued a statement, saying she wouldn't comment on the alleged beating at the request of authorities. She thanked fans for their support.
Brown's arrest has seriously damaged the "Run It!" singer's squeaky-clean image, and compelled sponsors to drop him or not renew his deals.
The alleged attack also came hours before the couple were scheduled to appear and perform at the Grammy Awards. Both were no-shows for event.

X (sorry, we mean Earl Simmons) released a statement yesterday saying in part, "Many of you know me as DMX but right now I am speaking to you as Earl Simmons ... For the record, I want to state 'I Did Not' physically touch or hit an officer. This is just another attempt to destroy my credibility."
Sorry Earl, you did a pretty good job of destroying it on your own.
BTW -- if you haven't been following all of X's escapades in Tent City jail -- where Charles Barkley is also set to serve time -- X is accused of throwing a food tray at an officer after he was accused of stealing an extra meal.

Rihanna Assures Fans She 'Remains Strong'

Rihanna finally broke her silence since allegedly being assaulted by Chris Brown, issuing a statement of thanks to her fans.
"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," says the statement from her rep on Friday. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
The statement comes on her 21st birthday and a day after she was spotted in Los Angeles after spending nearly two weeks in seclusion.
The singer was photographed Thursday heading to an airport the same night a graphic photo reportedly showing her battered face surfaced on the Internet, upsetting her father, who criticized police for their "sloppy work."
Prior to the statement, neither Rihanna nor her representatives had commented since the arrest of Brown, 19, on Feb. 8
On Friday, friends in Rihanna's native Barbados marked her birthday by taking out an ad in the local paper wishing her a happy 21st "amidst all the negativity about Ri Ri. God will continue to bless her."
"I just really love that girl," Sharon Thompson, who bought the birthday greeting, told PEOPLE MAGAZINE. " Some nights I cry because of what I'm hearing. It has me deeply hurt. She's just so lovely."
UPDATE!! TMZ Rihanna photo being investigated by LAPD

The Los Angeles Police Department opened an internal investigation late Thursday into whether a picture posted on a celebrity gossip website purportedly showing the bloody and bruised face of R&B star Rihanna was part of police evidence in the case, department officials said in a statement.
The photo posted by TMZ.com at 8:39 p.m. Eastern Standard Time time under the headline "Rihanna -- The Face of a Battered Woman" showed a woman said to be Rihanna with her eyes closed, a fat lip and apparent bruising to her forehead. The site ran a short sentence above the photo stating "TMZ has obtained a photo of Rihanna taken after Chris Brown allegedly beat her."
The LAPD currently is investigating an alleged altercation between Rihanna and singer Chris Brown, who police said injured the female artist during a fight the couple had last week in a Hancock Park neighborhood the morning of the Grammy Awards.

Three weeks ago hip hop artist, M.I.A. spoke about the on-going situation in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka's Foreign Secretary, Dr. Palitha Kohona, who took exception to M.I.A.'s remarks.
AND CONGRADS TO M.I.A on her newborn son!!
M.I.A., who performed at the Grammy Awards last Sunday despite experiencing labor contractions, has given birth to a baby boy, she said on her MySpace page.
The unnamed baby was born on Wednesday, and is "healthy, fine, beautiful and the most amazing thing ever on this planet," according to her Web posting on Saturday.
The baby's father is musician Benjamin Brewer, son of Canadian liquor scion Edgar Bronfman, chairman and CEO of Warner Music Group. The location was not disclosed.
M.I.A., 31, whose real name is Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam, was born in Britain but raised in Sri Lanka, where her father agitated for an independent Tamil state. DADDY YANKEE PERFORMS FOR MCCAIN AND FAT JOE CALLS HIS ASS A SELL OUT!!!

HANDLE YA BUSINESS JOE!!!
As if his endorsement of John McCain weren’t enough! Apparently, Daddy Yankee wants to make it clear that his support of the Republican presidential candidate goes far beyond a few photo shoots and public appearance.
The singer has now committed to perform at the Fiesta Americana Concert as part of next week’s Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.
I’m sure performing for a stadium full of 3,000 suit-and-tie Republicans is the ideal audience for some reggaeton. I bet that fiesta is going to get hot!
Daddy Yankee has been getting busted on left and right for his support of the Arizona senator. It seems that a lot of people just don’t see the link between reggaetoneros and 72-year-old white men.
Most recently, fellow performer Fat Joe put Daddy Yankee on blast for his politics, saying to MTV News:
“I opened the newspaper and got sick to my stomach. I felt like I wanted to vomit when I seen that. The reason why I called him a sellout is because I feel he did that for a [publicity] look, rather than the issues that are affecting his people that look up to him. How could you want John McCain in office when George Bush and the Republicans already have half a million people losing their homes in foreclosure? We’re fighting an unjust war. It’s the Latinos and black kids up in the frontlines, fighting that war. … We over here trying to take the troops out of Iraq and bring peace. This guy immediately wants war. If not with Iraq or Afghanistan, he’ll start a new one with Iran. I feel real disgusted that Daddy Yankee would do that. Either he did that for a look, or he’s just not educated on politics.”
Now, I don’t know how educated Fat Joe is on politics either, but at least he hit on some valid points!

LAWD HAVE MERCY GIVE KERI HILSON PROPS!!!
Before she could utilize her talents for her own solo endeavors, R&B singer, vocal arranger, and songwriter Keri Lynn Hilson wrote a slew of songs, many of them chart-toppers, for several popular artists in the mid-2000s as part of the five-person production/songwriting team known as the Clutch. The dynamic songwriter was born in Decatur, GA, only a few miles outside of Atlanta. Addicted to TV talent shows like Star Search and Showtime at the Apollo, she was already plotting out her career in music at age 12. Even though her mother hired a piano teacher to encourage those talents, she mainly wanted to sing; therefore, Hilson converted those sessions into vocal lessons, accompanying the teacher on piano. In her mid- to late teens, her career jumped off as a songwriter and background vocalist, working under producer Anthony Dent (Destiny's Child, Diddy). Borne out of that relationship were two failed girl groups (named Pretty Toni and D'Sign) and, more importantly, a host of connections within the industry for whom she wrote or did backup vocals, including Usher, Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, and up-and-coming Southern rap producer Polow da Don.
After Hilson graduated from high school, she managed to continue juggling all these tasks when she enrolled into Emory University in Atlanta. She eventually moved on from Dent and began working more with Polow da Don. Attending school while actively advancing her music career put a great demand on her, especially from being a member of the extremely versatile Clutch team. But as luck would have it, Polow introduced her to superproducer Timbaland, who wasted no time in signing the multi-talented songbird to his growing Mosley Music imprint in 2006. Over the next couple years, Hilson's songwriting was practically ubiquitous, responsible for numerous hit singles, including Mary J. Blige's "Take Me as I Am," Omarion's "Ice Box," the Pussycat Dolls' "Wait a Minute," and Ciara's "Like a Boy." With Timbaland and the Clutch in her corner, Hilson relied on the vast pool of recording artists and producers who needed (and wanted) to return the favor for her Mosley Music/Interscope debut. ~ Cyril Cordor, All Music Guide

TRICK DADDY WE DON'T DEAL WITH BEEF IN MIA!!
Here is Trick Daddy’s response to the rumors that he leaked the Rick Ross CORRECTION OFFICER photos:
“We don’t deal with rap beef down here. That’s not in our character. That’s not something we do. We’re the only city that ever gets compared to other people’s entire states. Whoever put my name in this is really attacking all of us. I told Ross he needs to have better people around him. He needs better publicists, so that he can avoid even being asked those type of funny questions. I been in this game for thirteen years, and anybody who’s ever listened to my music knows Trick Daddy is very smart. I know when somebody’s trying to use me and pull me into some s**t. But the people doing this need to understand what their words can do too. When you start talking about beef, and creating [situations] between people from the same hood, you gotta realize that that beef s**t can end with one man in jail and another man gone.”
“So what if he [was]. That just means he avoided something a lot of us in the hood haven’t, including me. I’m not proud of being an ex-con. Now that means I always got one foot in and one foot on a banana peel. I’m not proud of the things I did to land in that position.”

When The Checks Stop Coming In
Scott Storch is in deep. Not only has he been in hiding, but now his ass is about to be homeless:
Music producer Scott Storch is facing foreclosure on his $10 million Florida mansion, according to reports.
The Lean Back beatmaker is being chased by SunTrust Bank executives for outstanding payments on the home. According to the Palm Beach Post, Storch has failed to make monthly payments on the home for nearly a year.
The paper alleges in addition to the bank, an electric company and security system are after Storch and have put a lien on the house in an effort to settle outstanding payments. Storch was recently alleged to have fallen two years behind on property taxes amounting to $511,839 for the Miami Beach mansion.
His situation is all jacked up. Hopefully ole Scottie can hold on to at least one of his rides so he can have a place to sleep at night. SMH.

Rage on Wheels

Nate Dogg rolled up in court yesterday:
Showing up to court in a wheelchair—the result of a stroke suffered six months ago that left him partially paralyzed. The Prodigal Son rapper pleaded not guilty today to felony charges stemming from his arrest last month for threatening his estranged wife.Dogg, faces two felony counts of making criminal threats, one felony count of stalking and one misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license from a previous DUI.
He was released on $50,000 bond, which Compton Superior Court Commissioner Joel Wallenstein upped to $100,000 this morning. After doing so, the commissioner ordered the bailiff to temporarily place Dogg in a holding area until his camp paid the additional $50,000. [Nate Dogg's] next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 1, at which point a judge will decide whether or not there’s enough evidence for the case to go to trial.
Word is, he also allegedly emailed his estranged wife death threats. Now if his wheelchair bound ass can wreak all this havoc, he’s pretty much a lost cause. SMH.
